Two videos of crazy Evan
Here are two videos of crazy little Evan from our visit to Pennsylvania this month. The first is Evan exploring the cornfield at Shelsy's family's house. The second is Evan exploring a stream at my family's place. This kid is all boy and loves getting dirty and exploring new places.

Evan playing with a fork
Here's Evan, playing with a fork at Sweet Tomatoes. He was really making us laugh, and it was too cute not to share. :-)
Amber's tricycle
Here's a video of Amber riding her tricycle outside. She loves it, and asks to ride it almost every time we're out there.

Amber has successfully memorized her first Bible verse. She loves reciting it and is (of course) super adorable doing so.

Amber's new bubble machine
By: Ryan
Amber loves bubbles. She loves chasing them, trying to blow them herself, and asking us to fill the house with them. It's tiring and we've gotten dizzy more than once from blowing bubbles. So Amber got an early birthday present this week, and she's been enjoying it even more than we thought she would:

Amber and her raincoat
This adorable ladybug raincoat was a present from Amber's grandma and it's definitely one of our favorites. Amber loves wearing it, even just around the house. Up until now, all of the rainstorms we've had have either been while Amber's asleep, or they've been heavy thunderstorms (which are, of course, unfit for little babies).
But earlier this week we got our first chance to let Amber play outside in her raincoat. She had an absolute blast splashing in puddles, pointing at passing birds, and repeating, "Rain!" over and over. Here are some pictures and a video of the fun.

Amber walking by herself
Amber is officially walking on her own. She still falls from time to time, and her balance is less than perfect, but she's totally mastered it and has been walking all over the house. She's always giggling and is quite proud of her newfound skill. Here's a video of the excitement. Enjoy!

Walking at the park
Here are two videos of Amber practicing her walking at the park. These videos were taken 1 day apart and you can see how much she improved in just a single day. In the 3 days since, she has pretty much mastered walking by herself and now toddles around the house, still falling fairly regularly, but she's getting better and better every day. Enjoy!

Playing in the rain
By: Ryan
Amber loves playing outside. If you ask her if she wants to go outside, she grins and says, "ow-siiiiiie!" while pointing at the door. She'll crawl around on the grass or sidewalk, picking up and examining everything she finds (and often trying to eat it).
A few days ago, we had a nice, heavy rainstorm on a hot day and I took the opportunity to take Amber outside to play in the rain. She loved every minute of it, walking back and forth through puddles, pointing at floating leaves, and trying to lick the raindrops off her face. Here are some pictures and a video of the fun. Enjoy!

My Second Mother's Day
By: Shelsy
Yesterday Ryan surprised me with breakfast in bed, which was wonderful! He informed me that Amber helped by "eating the pancakes." Little did I know, that Amber actually DID help make breakfast for mommy. Later last night I got the rest of my present: a little photo album with pictures of Amber helping, as well as a video of the event. The video was way too cute not to share. :-) Enjoy!

Amber walking!
Amber has been excitedly practicing her walking skills lately and is getting better every day. These clips are only a few days old and she is already better at walking than in this video. It's super adorable, so expect more videos soon. Enjoy!

Exploring the Wooden Walkway in 3D

I hope you still have those 3D glasses on hand, because we have another video for you. This one is a bit long, at 5 minutes, but it's outdoors, making the 3D effect all the more dramatic.
As a reminder, be sure to use the drop-down to select the type of 3D glasses you have, and watch it fullscreen for the best effect. If you don't have any classes, simply select Right Image Only or Left Image Only to view it in 2D.

NOTE: If you don't have any glasses at all, simply click Left Image Only or Right Image Only at the bottom to enjoy the video in normal (albeit boring) 2D.
I highly recommend viewing the video full-screen for the best 3D viewing experience. Enjoy!

Amber playing in her crib
By: Ryan
Here's a 4 minute video, recorded today, of little Amber playing in her crib. I definitely think it's time to lower the mattress...she's very close to learning how to climb right over the side rail. :-)

Amber eating real food
By: Ryan
Little Amber got her first taste of real food on Sunday afternoon. She had an avocado and really seemed to enjoy it. She knew exactly how to eat from a spoon and eagerly awaited each new spoonful. We gave her some more yesterday, and, once again, she knew just what to do and really enjoyed it. I definitely think we have a happy eater on our hands here. I can't wait to see how she reacts to some different foods. :-)

Amber sitting up by herself
This is adorable little Amber, attempting to sit up all by herself. When aided by a pillow, she does pretty darn well. :-)
In other news, she is also now able to reach out and grab things fairly easily:
Her new favorite facial expression is the Sucked-In-Bottom-Lip:
And lastly, this is officially my new favorite picture of Amber:
