Stingrays!

By: Ryan

We visited SeaWorld yesterday and were able to explore a few areas of the park we don't normally get to. One was the Stingray pool, where visitors can reach into the water and touch the stingrays as they swim by. As we were standing there, Shelsy had a brilliant idea: using her awesome underwater camera in the pool!

So we did! I took several pictures and a few videos. The video is at the bottom of the post. Enjoy!

An Update on Tinkerbell

By: Ryan
On a recent trip back to Pennsylvania, I placed a Geocaching Travelbug into a cache near my parents' house. If you're new to Geocaching, you can read about it here. Travelbugs move from cache to cache by the people who find them. Some have a destination, others don't. Our travelbug is a tinkerbell keychain and her goal is to return to Orlando. (read more about travelbugs here).

Tinkerbell was set free on December 1st, 2008. She has since traveled 341 miles and is currently in West Virginia. Who knows how long it will take her to get back to us, but that's all part of the fun!

If you care to follow Tinkerbell's progress yourself, you can visit the tracking page. Be sure to click "View Map" to look at her path across the country. Enjoy!

Wheel of Fortune follow-up

Well, we haven't seen ourselves in the audience for the SeaWorld Wheel of Fortune shows yet. The director told us that they intermix audience shots across the whole time, so we could theoretically be in one of the still upcoming shows. We've watched every night for the past two weeks, but haven't seen anything.
If you're still watching/recording, hoping to see us, here's a picture of where to look. This shot was taken from the night we were there, but I definitely don't think that's us in the picture, so who knows. Maybe our audience shot was scrapped all together. :-)

If we happen to catch a glimpse of ourselves in an upcoming episode, we'll let you know.

A quick note about cellphones

By: Ryan

It has recently come to my attention that there are some of our friends and family who might be hesitant to call us because we don't have a landline and don't want to use up our cellphone minutes. I just wanted to assure everyone that this is definitely not an issue. We have never even come close to using up our minutes in a given month. And even we did, we can almost double our allotted minutes for only $10 more per month, which is way cheaper than adding a landline.

So, if you were avoiding giving Shelsy or myself a call for fear of using minutes, you have my permission to call away. Of course, if you were avoiding calling us because you dislike our conversation, you may continue to avoid calling. :-)

One Month Left!

By: Shelsy

My due date is exactly one month from today! My little countdown clock says 30 days. That's so crazy. Ryan and I are a mix of super excited, frustrated that we have to wait, and trying to hurry up and get some things finished up before she arrives. Well, I'm mostly the one with the to-do list--Ryan is just ready to meet her NOW. :-)
I've been feeling great--everyone keeps asking me that question. I've been blessed to have a very easy pregnancy all along, and any discomfort has been pretty minor. Let's hope labor goes the same way!
Some of the women from my church threw me a baby shower this past Saturday, which was very kind of them. My friend Cristina hosted and planned everything. I had a great time and got even more adorable things! It still feels like we haven't been here very long and we're still just getting to know people (even though it's been almost a year!) so it was kind of amazing to me that people even came, haha. There were even people there who I hadn't even met before. I even got things from people who I still haven't met!
So I had a good time and now we have pretty much everything we need, except for just a few things. The baby's room is almost ready, we just need to organize it a little, and decorate. I can't believe it's almost time to meet her!
Here are some pictures from the shower taken by my friend Debi:
Showing off my cloth diapering skills (heh). Juanita and I had to work together each using only one hand. We put this beauty together in only 32 seconds.
